The rent for this house excludes bills. Gas,electricity, water and sewage, other services you choose to have connected like internet, cable TV and phone are not included in the rent and must be shared between the household. You pay bills directly to the suppliers, not to your landlord. There are no pre-pay card meters in the house, you just pay the bills when the suppliers send them to you. Council tax is not included in the rent but so long as you are all registered full-time students there is no Council Tax to pay. The rent for the house is £1380 per month, which is an average of £345 per room. As the rooms vary in size it will make sense for the person with the largest room to pay more than the person with the smaller room –I suggest it should be split £365,£350,£340 and £325 but it’s up to you. The rental contract is fixed term for one year, neither the landlord nor the tenants can give notice to end the contract earlier (except if the terms of the contract have been breached, this is fully explained in the contract in plain english).
