I’m Gavin Spittlehouse, the owner and landlord of 48 Rousham Road and 48 Cromwell Road. I live in Bristol, about two miles from these houses. I’ve owned both of them since the late 1990s and I’ve been successfully letting them out to students and professionals, groups and individuals.
- I don’t use agencies to let or manage the properties – so you get to meet and deal with the landlord directly and you never have to pay agency fees.
- I have a good understanding of the students needs and students accommodation, having been a student myself and having let these houses to students from UWE, University of Bristol and City Of Bristol College.
- My houses meet all the legal requirements – they have fully certified gas central heating systems, interlinked mains-powered fire alarm systems, etc.
- Your deposit will be held securely by the Deposit Protection Service, this is your guarantee that deposits are dealt with fairly and are returned (less any mutually-agreed deductions) with interest shortly after you leave the property. My DPS registration number is 1141502.
- I’m easily available when needed, but usually you don’t see very much of me. I keep in touch with my tenants by text, email, phone or in person.
