I can accept payments for deposits or rent by credit or debit card (as well as bank transfer, cheque or cash). Card payments can be useful if you need to make paymants from outside the UK or if you don’t have sufficient money in your bank account.
I use PayPal for card payment processing services. If you wish to pay by card then you must pay the PayPal fees. These fees are currently 3.4% + £0.20 (as of June 2009), so for example if you need to pay £350 then the fees will be £12.10 so you will be charged £362.10. I make no profit from this – I only receive the amount you owe to me. The fees go to PayPal.
You need to let me know that you want to pay by card. I will then email you a Payment Request containing a link to a PayPal payment page. This email will tell you the exact amount that you will need to pay (which will include the PayPal charges at the current rates).
If you don’t already have a PayPal account then you will need to register with them. You will need to have the credit card with you to do this. It will take you a few minutes.
If you wish to make use of this facility, please let me know as soon as possible. You will only be able to make the payment after I’ve sent you the Payment Request and I may not be able to do this at short notice.
